Texas
Ranger (Leucophyllum frutscens)

| The
Texas Ranger is an evergreen shrub that grows to about
8 feet tall and 6 feet wide. The most common variety
of Texas Ranger is the variety "Green Cloud"
which has gray green foliage with a pink flower. However,
there are now silver varieties and flowers that range
from white to purple. Their also smaller growing varieties
of Texas Ranger called "Compacta". The Texas
Ranger blooms in late summer and it's drought tolerance,
which makes the Texas Ranger a good landscape choice.
Best used as an informal hedge. |
